The Fighting Irish travel to the New South to play the Georgia Bulldogs “Between the Hedges” for the first time in Athens (Georgia, not Greece, and not to be confused with Rome…Georgia, that is). UGA is ranked 3rd in recent polls and will be “fixin’ ta put a hurt” on our Domers. Being a taxpayer and resident of Atlanta, Georgia, there is no way I can possibly accept or endure another Georgia win as my neighbors back home still fondly reminisce about the Sugar Bowl victory in 1980 and our one-point loss in 2017. We are organizing a game watch at the New Sanno Hotel Fair Winds Lounge
IMPORTANT – RSVP to Jerry (please see your email inbox for details) by Thursday, September 19th. Because the Sanno is a U.S. military hotel, security is tight and it’s absolutely necessary for each attendee to RSVP in advance with your full name. It’s also necessary to bring your passport. If you’re not on the (pre-cleared) list or don’t have proper ID, they might turn you away.
1. There are certain restrictions on non-American/non-Japanese citizens. Please let me know if this describes you or your guests.
2. No one under 20 years old is allowed in the lounge for the game watch.
3. Table service is provided on a when-possible, military-first basis. Please be nice to the staff!
(Sunday) 09:00 - 13:00
